Swiatek vs Sabalenka: prediction for the WTA Finals match

One year ago, Iga Swiatek failed to advance into the semifinals in the WTA Finals at Guadalajara. But now the Polish player is considered the main title contender at Fort Worth and so far she is living up to the expectations. 

World No. 1 player had no difficulties in the group stage matches. She didn't lose more than five games in any of three fixtures. In the first match she secured a 6:3, 6:2 victory over Kasatkina. After that, Iga rolled past Garcia (6:3, 6:2). In the closing encounter of the group stage Iga easily beat Cori Gauff (6:3, 6:0). 

In the previous season Aryna Sabalenka made her debut in WTA Finals, but failed to get past the group stage. Belarusian player managed to improve her result, despite the lack of success prior to the Fort Worth tournament. 

In the first match Sabalenka secured a comeback victory over Ons Jabeur (3:6, 7:6, 7:5). After that, Aryna failed to put up a fight to Sakkari (2:6, 4:6). But in the decisive match of a group stage Sabalenka secured a victory over Jessica Pegula in straight sets (6:3, 7:5).
