Austria Wien vs Villarreal: prediction for the UEFA Conference League game

Austria Wien are last in the Conference League Group C after three games. They collected one point from a draw against Hapoel Be'er-Sheva in the first round (0:0), but then suffered two crushing defeats to Lech Poznan (1:4) and Villarreal (0:5).

In the domestic league, Austria Wien are struggling, too. Manfred Schmid's side has 15 points and is 5th in the standings. In recent games, the Violets seem to have found their form - they won three of the last four games.

Villarreal are confirming their status as the favourites in Group C. They have collected maximum points and are comfortably leading the table; their closest pursuers are five points behind. The Yellow Submarine scored 11 and conceded four goals in three games. 

But Unai Emeri has been clearly prioritising the Conference League, because his charges are only 9th in La Liga with 12 points from eight games. Villareal are winless in the last four domestic league games.
