Salernitana vs Lecce. Prediction and Betting Tips for 2022-23 Serie A (September 16, 2022).

Last season, Salernitana managed to get out of a seemingly hopeless situation and retained their residence in Serie A. In the summer, the club signed a few new players to strengthen the squad, and the Garnets have looked impressive so far this season. Davide Nicola's men suffered a 0:1 defeat to Roma in the opening game of the season, but haven't lost since. 

Currently, Salernitana are in 10th place in the standings with seven points, five points ahead of the relegation zone. In the last round, Salernitana drew against Juventus (2:2). They were in the lead before halftime, but allowed Juventus to level the score in the second half. 

Lecce have returned to the Italian elite, but didn't get to sign as many new players as their current opponent. Marco Baroni's men didn't have a particularly impressive start to the season, but they have stayed clear of the danger zone, even though they are yet to win a game in Serie A.

With three points to their name, Baroni's charges occupy the 17th line in the table, just one point ahead of Cremonese in 18th place. They need to take it up a notch to avoid dropping into the relegation zone. In the last outing, Lecce were close to defeating Monza at home, but wasted all of their scoring chances and were held to a draw (1:1).
