Rayo Vallecano vs Valencia: prediction for the La Liga match

After a long absence, Rayo Vallecano started the previous season strong. After a successful start the capital club failed to keep that pace and finished the season in the lower half of the standings. Capital side also got off to a great start in Copa del Rey, the Vallecans have reached the quarter-final of that tournament, but got eliminated by the eventual winner of the trophy.

Previous season brought a great result in Copa del Rey to Valencia. Team reached the final, beating Athletic along the way. In a decisive match the Oranges were beaten by Betis on penalties. 

On July 1, Gennaro Gattuso became the new head coach of the team. Aside from him, club also signed Andre Almeida for 7,5 million and Hugo Duro for 4 million. In four rounds of a new La Liga season the Bats lost twice and recorded victories over Girona (1:0) and Getafe (5:1).
