Espanyol vs Sevilla: prediction for the La Liga fixture

In the previous season Espanyol managed to retain the La Liga spot, earning a 14th spot. On July 1, Diego Martinez became the new head coach of the team, but unfortunately, under his management team put up one of the worst starts in team's history. In four rounds the Budgerigars earned only one point, they drew to Celta (2:2). After that, team suffered two defeats and finally recorded a victory over Almeria in the latest match (1:0). 

Team put up a weak offensive performance, scoring less than one goal per game. Lozano, Pedrosa, Puado and de Tomas will miss the upcoming game. 

In the previous season Sevilla lost a chance to fight for the Europa League title, they were eliminated by West Ham in the second play-off round. After a 4th place finish in La Liga Los Nervionenses failed to find a victory in first three matches of a new season. In the second match the Red-Whites drew to Valladolid (1:1). Team scored only three goals so far. 

Team also got off to a dreadful start in the Champions League - a 0:4 defeat to Manchester City in the first match of a group stage. Corona and Marcao will miss the upcoming match due to injuries.
