Valencia vs Getafe: prediction for the La Liga fixture

Valencia managed to gain momentum in the previous season - hosts are going through the building of a new Mestalla and a new team. Valencians performed successfully in Copa del Rey. The Oranges managed to beat Athletic, but failed to get the title, losing to Betis on penalties in the final. 

In 38 rounds the Bats have recorded 10 victories and 15 draws, earning 11th spot in the standings. On July 1, Gennaro Gattuso was appointed the new manager, club also signed Andre Almeida for 7,5 million euros and Hugo Duro for 4 million. 

In the first round of La Liga Valencia managed to beat Girona (1:0), but after that suffered a defeat to Athletic Bilbao (0:1). After a recent defeat to Atletico (0:1) hosts find themselves at 14th position. Duro, Gaya, Vasquez and Gabriel Paulista will miss the upcoming game. 

In the previous season Getafe managed to earn their first points only in mid-autumn. However, Madrid team put up a much better performance in the second half of the season - in 38 rounds visitors earned eight victories and 15 draws, climbing up to 15th position. 

The Blues failed to achieve success in the Spanish Cup, after a victory over Mollerussa (5:1) visitors were eliminated by a modest Baleares side (0:5). During the summer club signed Domingo Duartes for 750 thousand euros from Granada and Borja Majoral from Real for 10 million euros. 

Quique Flores' men started the new season poorly - two defeats and a draw against Villarreal (0:0). Alderete, Milla and Suarez are still recovering after injuries.
