Cadiz vs Athletic: prediction for the La Liga fixture

In the previous season Cadiz put up a great start in Copa del Rey, they easily advanced past the first rounds and then lost to the eventual finalist of that competition, Valencia, on penalties. In 38 rounds of La Liga Andalusian team recorded eight victories and 15 draws, delivering 39 points. Team ended up at 17th spot, just one point clear of the relegation zone. 

During the summer club signed Ruben Alcaraz and Victor Chust from Real, each of them were bought for 1 million euros, and also Genk's left winger Teo Bongondu for 3 million euros, who became the most expensive signing of the club in recent years. 

Start of the new season went badly for the Yellow-Blues - in two rounds they suffered two defeats without scoring a single goal. In the latest game club suffered a 0:2 defeat to Osasuna. 

Alarcon, Alcaraz, Garrido, Perea and Sobrino will miss the upcoming game. 

In the previous season Athletic failed to satisfy the fans in the Spanish Super Cup, leaving the competition in the first round. Basques played well at first stages of the Spanish Cup, but in the semi-final team got eliminated by Valencia. 

In 38 rounds of La Liga the Red-Whites have recorded 14 victories and 13 draws, delivering 55 points and an 8th spot in the standings. During the summer Ernesto Valverde took over as a new head coach. Midfielder Ander Herrera is loaned from PSG.

Team got off to a strong start of the season - a draw against Mallorca (0:0) and a victory over Valencia (1:0) brought four points. The Lions are yet to concede a goal in this season. Aguirrezabala, Balenziaga and Martinez will miss the upcoming match.
