Barcelona vs Valladolid: prediction for the La Liga fixture

In the previous season Barcelona missed every trophy and found their game only towards the end of the season. In 38 rounds of the previous season Xavi's men claimed 21 victories and 10 draws, delivering 73 points and a 2nd spot in the standings. Team also had the second goalscoring record in the league with 68 goals scored. 

Team was unable to succeed in Copa del Rey and in the Champions League, for the first time in many years Catalan club failed to advance into the playoffs of that European competition. Fans were expecting success in the Europa League, but again team failed to deliver. Barca got eliminated in the quarterfinals by Eintracht Frankfurt, a team, which eventually win the trophy. 

During the summer club signed such world-class players as Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha and Kounde, board had to spend 150 million euros to buy these athletes. In two rounds club picked up four points.

Valladolid managed to satisfy their fans in the previous season - team secured 24 victories and nine draws, delivering 81 points and a 2nd spot in the Segunda standings. The Violets put up a great offensive performance, scoring 71 goals in a season. 

In the first round of La Liga Pucela failed to put up a fight to Villarreal (0:3), after that theViolets finally picked up the first point in the match against Sevilla (1:1). Team's offensive line is disappointing at the start of the season, Valladolid have scored only one goal in five matches. El Yamiq, Plata and Weissman will miss the upcoming game.
