Rayo Vallecano vs Mallorca: prediction for the La Liga fixture

In the previous season Rayo Vallecano got off to a perfect start of La Liga season - team surprised many opponents in first rounds and precious points helped them at the end of campaign. Capital club also had a great start in Copa del Rey, the Vallecans have reached the quarter-final of that tournament, but in that stage team suffered a defeat to the eventual winner of that trophy. 

In two rounds of the current season Andoni Iraola's men earned a surprising draw against Barcelona (0:0) and a victory over Espanyol (2:0). These results brought four points and a 6th spot in the standings. Martin will miss the upcoming game due to a shoulder injury. 

In the previous season Mallorca put up a mediocre performance, but kept the La Liga spot. The islanders had a decent run in Copa del Rey, they have reached the quarter-final, but suffered a defeat to Rayo Vallecano.
