Almeria vs Sevilla: prediction for the La Liga fixture

In the previous season Almeria achieved great results and earned a promotion back to La Liga for the first time in seven years after a relegation in 2015. In 42 rounds of the previous Segunda season the Red-Whites have recorded 24 victories and nine draws, delivering 81 points and a top spot in the standings. Team also put up a best defensive record in the league, conceding just 35 goals and scoring 68 times themselves. 

During the summer club signed Kaiky from Santos for 7 million euros, Alejandro Pozo from Sevilla for 3 million euros and Marko Milovanovic from Partizan for 3,5 million euros. At the start of the season team earned only one point, out of the draw against Elche (1:1). Team is currently at the 13th spot in the standings. Centelles, Martos and Nieto will miss the upcoming match. 

In the previous season Sevilla put up a great performance in the Europa League, team reached the playoffs, but failed to get past the second round, losing to West Ham. Team also managed to beat Cordoba and Zaragoza, but after that Julian Lopetegui's men suffered a defeat to the local rivals, Betis, and got eliminated from the tournament. 

Los Nervionenses finished the La Liga season at the 4th spot, but after two matches of the current season team is at the 13th spot - the Red-Whites earned only one point out of the match against Valladolid (1:1). Suso, Marcao, Corona and Acuna will miss the upcoming match.
