Daniil Medvedev had two difficult matches at the current tournament. Taylor Fritz cruised past his opponents to reach the quarterfinals. In the first round, he celebrated success over Sebastian Baez (6-1, 6-1). After that, Fritz defeated Nick Kyrgios (6-3, 6-2). His match against Andrey Rublev was tough, though, and the American needed three sets to get the upper hand over the Russian player (6-7, 6-2, 7-5).
