Badosa vs Tomljanovic: prediction for the WTA Cincinnati match

Paula Badosa is struggling with recurring health issues throughout the season. Since the start of the season injuries forced the Spanish player to retire in three matches. In a recent Toronto tournament she failed to finish the match against Putintseva. Nonetheless, sometimes the World No. 4 player is able to put up a top-notch performance. 

Badosa has won her only title in 2022 at Sydney tournament. Back then, she managed to beat Tomljanovic in the main draw (6:3, 6:4). Paula is defending ranking points for the quarter-final at Cincinnati. 

Ajla Tomljanovic is looking great on American hard tournaments. Australian player successfully advanced past qualifying stages at Toronto and at Cincinnati. She also managed to beat the first round of the main draw in both tournaments and now she has a chance to reach the round of 16. 

In the first round of Cincinnati tournament Tomljanovic managed to beat Townsend in a nailbiting three-set encounter (6:4, 3:6, 7:5). Ajla's serving performance was far from perfect, she let her opponent to make five breaks.
