Getafe vs Atletico: prediction for the La Liga fixture

In the previous La Liga campaign Getafe had their worst ever start and picked up the first points only in the middle of the season. After that team managed to gain form and avoided relegation. The Blues also failed to achieve success in the Spanish Cup. After a victory over Mollerussa (5:1) hosts were defeated by Baleares (0:5). 

In 38 rounds of La Liga Quique Flores' men have recorded eight victories and 15 draws, delivering 39 points and a 15th spot in the standings. Capital club had problems with converting chances - only 33 goals were scored. During the summer club signed Mayoral from Real for 10 million euros and Luis Milla for 5 million euros from Granada. 

In the previous season Atletico failed to defend the La Liga title. Capital club got off to a great start in the Champions League, Madrid team was successful in the group stage, after that the Mattresses eliminated Manchester United in the playoffs. The Red-Whites were unable to advance further - they were defeated by Manchester City. 

As for La Liga, Diego Simeone's men have recorded 21 victories and eight draws, delivering 71 points and a 3rd spot in the standings. They won all of their pre-season friendlies. Club signed Molina for 20 million euros and Samuel Lino for 6,5 million euros.
