Cornet vs Tomljanovic: prediction for the WTA Wimbledon match

Before 2022, Alize Cornet reached the Wimbledon round of 16 only once. It happened a long time ago, in 2014. Back then, she recorded a memorable victory over Serena Williams (1:6, 6:3, 6:4). This time, French player pulled off another upset. She beat Iga Swiatek in the third round, stopping her winning streak at 37 matches (6:4, 6:2). 

Aside this victory, Cornet also beat Putintseva (6:3, 7:6), and Liu (6:3, 6:3). Frenchwoman secured all of her victories in straight sets so far. 

Ajla Tomljanovic put up a fantastic performance at Wimbledon one year ago, reaching the quarterfinals. Australian player is looking to repeat that achievement this year. 

In first two rounds of the Wimbledon Australian player secured straight set victories over Teichmann (6:2, 6:3) and Harrison (6:2, 6:2). In the third round she recorded a comeback victory over Krejcikova (2:6, 6:4, 6:3). Tomljanovic was not flawless in that match - she lost four games at her serve, made 26 unforced errors.
