Kvitova vs Ostapenko: prediction for the WTA Eastbourne match
On June 25, Petra Kvitova will take on Jelena Ostapenko in the battle for the Eastbourne tournament title. Will Latvian player retain the trophy? The answer is in our prediction.

Command Analysis

Petra Kvitova

Current season is surely not the best one for Petra Kvitova. Since the beginning of 2022, she was unable to break into the quarter-final. Czech player usually struggled to even break through second rounds in numerous tournaments, so a competition at Eastbourne is surely a huge success for her.
We should say that Kvitova got a lucky draw. She beat Vekic, Boulter and Dart in first three rounds. However, semi-final match was a tough challenge for Petra. She managed to put an end to Haddad Maia's 12-match winning streak (7:6, 6:4). Kvitova put up a fantastic serving performance in that match, losing no games at her serve.

Jelena Ostapenko

Jelena Ostapenko had a few unsuccessful tournaments before Eastbourne. But Latvian player managed to put an end to her struggles here and even reached the final for a second year in a row. In 2021, she beat Kontaveit in the decisive match (6:3, 6:3).
Jelena managed to gain fantastic form on her way to the final. It is extremely hard to stop Ostapenko, when she is confident. A semi-final match against Giorgi is a great example (6:2, 6:2). In previous rounds Latvian player secured straight-set victories over Tomljanovic, Keys and Kalinina.

Tip and bets
In our opinion, Ostapenko will have more chances for a victory in the upcoming final. She is in a fantastic form right now and opponents are struggling to find a way to stop her. Kvitova is more experienced player, but it won't be an easy match for her. She had a tough way to the final and overall she is having a turbulent season.
Our prediction - Ostapenko to win the match
Opponents met each other a number of times and so far the score is tied at 4:4 on head-to-head matches. In three latest head-to-head matches Petra and Jelena played at least 22 games and we are expecting another long match.
Our second bet is on total over 22 games
