As the tournament hosts, Finland had to deliver a successful performance. So far, they sufffered only one defeat at the World Championship; the lost to Sweden in a penalty shootout (2:3 SO). The Maple Leafs came back from losing 0:3 to Sweden in the quarterfinals and ultimately won in overtime (4:3 ОТ). In the semifinal match, Canada crushed the Czech Republic with a score of 6:1. Forwards Mathew Barzal and Pierre-Luc Dubois play a crucial role in Canada's attack.
