Finland vs Canada: prediction for the IIHF World Championship

As the tournament hosts, Finland had to deliver a successful performance. So far, they sufffered only one defeat at the World Championship; the lost to Sweden in a penalty shootout (2:3 SO). But if in the group games Suomi were solid on defense, in the playoffs they made several mistakes. They allowed two goals to Slovakia (4:2) and three goals to the USA (4:3). The Finns compensated for it by decent attacking play. Mikko Lehtonen is the top scorer for FInland with a total of nine points. 

Canada, on the other hand, had some problems at the group stage of the tournament, but have been excellent in the playoffs. The Maple Leafs came back from losing 0:3 to Sweden in the quarterfinals and ultimately won in overtime (4:3 ОТ). In the semifinal match, Canada crushed the Czech Republic with a score of 6:1. Forwards Mathew Barzal and Pierre-Luc Dubois play a crucial role in Canada's attack.
