Granada vs Espanyol: prediction for the La Liga fixture

Granada performed below expectations in the current season - fans were expecting a fight for the European competition zone, but now team is involved in relegation battle. Club also failed to achieve success in the Spanish Cup. After a victory over Laguna (7:0) team suffered a disappointing defeat to Mancha (0:1). 

After 37 rounds of La Liga Roberto Moreno's men have eight victories and 13 draws, delivering 37 points and a 16th spot in the standings. After a victory over Athletic (1:0) hosts were beaten by Betis (0:2). Raba, Torrente, Rochina, Neva, Montoro and Lozano will miss the upcoming match. 

Espanyol also failed to succeed in the Spanish Cup. Team recorded a victory over Ponferradina, but suffered a defeat to Mallorca in the second round (1:2). After 37 rounds of La Liga the Budgerigars have nine victories and 11 draws, delivering 41 points and a 13th spot in the standings. 

In five latest matches team got only two points - they drew to Osasuna (1:1) and Valencia (1:1). Gil, de Tomas, Pedroza, Morlanes and Bare will miss the upcoming match.
