Newcastle United vs Crystal Palace: prediction for the English Premier League match

Newcastle had a very slow start to the season. The first match in the FA Cup saw the Magpies eliminated by Cambridge United, and the team recorded their first victory in the Premier League only on December 4. After the winter break, Newcastle managed to leave the relegation zone.

Eddie Howe's team is in 14th place in the standings with 37 points from 32 games. They have conceded a shocking 55 goals, which is one of the worst defensive records in the league. In the last two games, Newcastle celebrated success over Wolverhampton (1:0) and Leicester (2:1). 

Howe won't be able to call upon the services of Wilson,Hayden, Trippier, and Lewis. 

Crystal Palace, on the other hand, are having quite a good season. The Glaziers beat Everton 4:0 in the FA Cup quarterfinal. Last Sunday, the team faced London rivals Chelsea in the semifinal game and lost 0:2.  

In the Premier League, Patrick Vieira's side is 13th on the log with 37 points from eight victories and 13 draws. After a victory over Arsenal (3:0), the Londoners lost to Leicester City (1:2).

Ferguson and Hughes have been ruled out of this fixture.
