Mallorca vs Alaves: prediction for the La Liga fixture

Mallorca put up a satisfying performance in the Spanish Cup this year, reaching the quarter-final of that competition. On their way to that stage the islanders beat Eibar and Espanyol, but eventually were eliminated by Rayo Vallecano (0:1). 

After 32 rounds of La Liga Luis Plaza's men have seven victories and eight draws, delivering 29 points and a 17th spot in the standings. Team is only one point clear of relegation zone. After a victory over Athletic (1:0) hosts were beaten by Elche (0:3). 

Greif, Ruiz and Sedlar won't feature in the upcoming match. 

In each of two previous seasons Alaves miraculously avoided relegation from La Liga - they were extremely fortunate at the finish. But it seems like club's board didn't learn the lesson and in the current season the Glorious Ones are on the verge of relegation once again. 

After 32 rounds of La Liga the White-Blues have six victories and seven draws, delivering 25 points and a 20th spot in the standings. After a string of defeats Basques managed to beat Rayo Vallecano (1:0) in the previous round and now team is only four points behind today's opponent.
