Liverpool vs Manchester United: prediction for the English Premier League match

Liverpool are attempting to win a treble this year. They have already won the League Cup and have reached the final of the FA Cup following their 3:2 victory over Manchester City last weekend.

The Reds have enjoyed success in the Champions League, too. After collecting maximum points in the group, Liverpool overcame Inter Milan (2:1 on aggregate). In the quarterfinals,Jurgen Klopp's side defeated Benfica (6:4 on aggregate). 

Klopp's men are currently in 2nd place in the Premier League standings with 73 points from 22 wins and seven draws. In the last Premier League match, the Reds drew against defending champions Man City (2:2). The team can boast the best attack in the league having registered 79 goals in 31 games.

The hosts have no current injury concerns. 

Manchester United, on the other hand, are having a rough season. They finished on top of Villiarreal, Atalanta, and Young Boys in their Champions League group, but were knocked out by Atletico Madrid in the Round of 16. The Red Devils didn't even make it to the last 16 in the FA Cup - Championship residents Middlesbrough defeated them in a penalty shootout. 

As for the Premier League, Ralf Rangnick's men have chalked up 54 points from 32 games and are occupying the 5th line in the table. After a loss to Everton (0:1), the United team beat Norwich City (3:2). 

Shaw, Fred, McTominay, Cavani, and Varane are sidelined through injuries.
