Medvedev vs Machac: prediction for the Indian Wells Masters

This is the first appearance of Daniil Medvedev as the World №1. He got quite an easy draw, at least until the semifinals, where he can have his third meeting with Rafael Nadal in 2022.

Earlier this year, Medvedev lost to Nadal in five sets in the final of the Australian Open, and then yielded again in the semifinals in Acapulco at the end of February. 

Tomas Machac has already won a trophy this year. At the beginning of 2022, he celebrated success over Bjorn Fratangelo in the final of the Traralgon Challenger (7-6, 6-3). 

At the current tournament, Machac beat Radu Albot (6-4, 7-5) and Ilya Marchenko (5-7, 6-3, 6-3) in the qualifiers, and then defeated Alexei Popyrin in the first round of the main draw (6-3, 7-5).
