Benfica vs Ajax. Prediction and Betting Tips for UEFA Champions League 2021-2022 (February 23, 2022).

Benfica had a very difficult Champions League group this season - their opponents were Bayern Munich, Barcelona, and Dynamo Kyiv. Few people expected the Portuguese club to qualify for the playoffs, but Benfica left Dynamo and Barcelona behind, beating the Blaugrana to the second line by just one point.  

However, today's hosts haven't been very successful in their domestic campaign. After 23 rounds of the competition,the Eagles are in 3rd place in the table, 12 points behind the current leader Porto and six points behind the second Sporting.

Ajax, on the contrary, had quite an easy group. Erik ten Hag's side were considered favourites against Sporting, Borussia, and Besiktas. They collected maximum points from six group games and comfortably qualified for the last 16 from the first line. 

Ajax are also the favourites to win the Eredivisie trophy this season. They top the standings following the results of 23 matches and have a handicap of five points against PSV in 2nd position. In the last round, Ajax defeated Willem II, thus recording their 10th victory in a row.
