Many expected Finland to get into the final even before the tournament started. Suomi are enjoying a successful campaign: they won all four of their games at the current competition, and only once experienced some problems. First, they crushed Germany (4:0), and then beat the USA in a shootout (3:2), sensationally knocking the Americans out of the competition. Slovakia has reached the semi-finals for the first time since 2010. The top scorer for the national team is the 17-year-old Juraj Słafkowski, who has netted five goals in Beijing.
