Southampton sit middle of the table with 28 points from 23 games. The Saints won six matches this season and recorded 10 draws. After a 1:1 draw against the reigning champions Manchester City, Southampton defeated Tottenham away (3:2). 

Ralph Hasenhuttl's charges couldn't make it past Chelsea in the last 16 of the League Cup, but have reached the FA Cup Round of 16 following their extra-time victory over Coventry City (2:1).

McCarthy, Vojnovic, Tella, and Redmondhave been ruled out of this fixture.
