Mainz vs Hoffenheim: prediction for the Bundesliga match

Carnival club played 20 matches already and it is a pretty successful season for the team. Club is currently at the mid-table, but only four points adrift from the European competitions zone, so there is still a chance to get there. 

In the most recent match Mainz failed to get points at Sportpark Ronhof, losing to Greuther Furth (1:2). Visitors conceded at 12th minute, so their plan for the game was backfired since the start and an own goal put the final nail into the coffin of Bo Svensson's team. A return to home ground will probably help to the team to put the things back together, club is unbeaten for six consecutive Bundesliga matches at home. 

In comparision with their opponent, Hoffenheim are looking slightly better, because they are at the 7th spot and have a great chance to fight for the Champions League zone. Sebastian Hoeness' team faced some problems in two previous rounds, so their position in the standings worsened. 

Hoffenheim suffered two consecutive defeats. At first club dropped points in the match against Union Berlin (1:2) and then failed to avoid defeat against Borussia Dortmund, but hosts fought until the end (2:3). Now the White-Blues are approaching an away match against Mainz, who are extremely motivated. Overall, it will be an interesting game.
