Collins vs Swiatek: prediction for the WTA Australian Open match

Danielle Collins managed to repeat her 2019 result at Melbourne. Back then, American player unexpectedly reached the semi-final, but failed to beat Kvitova (6:7, 0:6). Now the World No. 30 player will try to reach the final of that prestigious tournament for the first time. 

We should say that Collins got a very easy draw in the current tournament. Nonetheless, Collins experienced some problems in two matches, against Tauson (4:6, 6:4, 7:5) and Mertens (4:6, 6:4, 7:5). In the quarter-final match against Cornet only the first set was contested (7:5, 6:1). 

Iga Swiatek reached the semi-final of Australian Open for the first time in her career. Before that Polish player was eliminated in the round of 16 for two years in a row. 

A World No. 9 player was a favourite in each of her matches in the current tournament. In first three matches against Dart, Peterson and Kasatkina she experienced no problems. But in two most recent matches Swiatek recorded comeback victories over Cirstea (5:7, 6:3, 6:3) and Kanepi (4:6, 7:6, 6:3). Young player sometimes has problems with consistency.
