Badosa vs Kasatkina: prediction for the WTA Sydney match

Paula Badosa got off to a weak start in 2022 season. In the first round of Adelaide tournament she was eliminated by Victoria Azarenka (3:6, 2:6) without any chance. 

Spanish player also had a difficult start at Sydney tournament. Badosa almost lost the first set in the match against inconsistent Ostapenko (7:6, 6:1). After that Badosa recorded a confident victory over Tomljanovic (6:3, 6:4). In the quarter-final she lost one set to Belinda Bencic (7:6, 3:6, 6:3). 

Daria Kasatkina satisfied her fans at the start of a new season. Russian player reached the semi-final in second consecutive tournament. One week ago she was crushed by Anisimova in the semi-final of Melbourne tournament (2:6, 0:6). 

Kasatkina's performance improved at Sydney. A world No. 26 player beat all of her opponents in straight sets. She recorded confident victories over Kenin (6:4, 6:0), Mertens (6:3, 6:4) and Muguruza (6:4, 6:4). Kasatkina's path in this tournament is very impressive, three consecutive victories is surely not an accident, she also managed to beat the World No. 3 player.
