Rybakina vs Doi: prediction for the WTA Adelaide match

Elena Rybakina managed to satisfy her fans and reached the semi-final in the first tournament of the season. We can't say that Kazakhstan representative did a miraculous job, because in all of her matches she was considered a favourite by the bookmakers.

A match against Sanders (6:4, 1:6, 6:1) sparked some questions about Rybakina's form at the start of the season. But a World No. 14 player managed to step up in matches against stronger opponents. In the second round she recorded a victory over Bouzkova (6:3, 6:4) in straight sets. In the quarter-final Rybakina needed three sets to beat Shelby Rogers (3:6, 6:3, 6:2).

Misaki Doi made a huge sensation, getting to the semi-final of Adelaide tournament. Though, the World No. 105 player had an easy draw - she didn't beat a single seeded opponent. 

In two out of three matches on her way to the semi-final Doi had to play three sets. In the first round she beat Kucova (6:3, 3:6, 6:1). A quarter-final match against Kaja Juvan was also a long one, a winner was decided on a tiebreak (6:3, 4:6, 7:6). Between these matches Doi also beat Gasanova in straight sets (7:6, 6:3).
