Manchester City will be finishing the year 2021 in a good spirit. The team lost their last Champions League group game to RB Leipzig (1-2), but that didn't affect their standings: City qualified for the playoffs from the first line in their group. 

The Sky-Blues had little success in the League Cup, where they were knocked out by West Ham in the first round, but we doubt that Man City had big plans for that competititon unlike the Premier League, where City are currently at the top of the log.

The reigning champions of England won 14 games out of 18 and drew twice, which brought them 44 points. Pep Guardiola's charges have been especially good on the defensive - they conceded only 9 goals in the league. 

In the last three rounds, Manchester City defeated Wolverhampton (1-0), Leeds (7-0), and Newcastle (4-0). 

Delap, Mendy, Torres, and Walkerhave been ruled out of this fixture. 

Leicester started their season with a victory over their current hosts in the Community Shield match but they haven't been very successful across all tournaments. After 16 rounds of the Premier League, the Foxes are in 9th place in the table with 22 points from six wins and four draws. They have chalked up 27 goals, which is a decent result, but their defensive line wasn't very reliable, so Leicester conceded the same number of goals.  

In December, Brendan Rogers' men drew with Southampton (2-2), suffered a defeat to Aston Villa (1-2), and cruised to victory over Newcastle in the last round (4-0). 

The Foxes couldn't qualify for the Europa League playoffs. They recorded two victories and two draws, thus finishing 3rd in their group. However, this gives them a right to play in the Round of 16 in the UEFA Conference League. 

Leicester will be playing without Evans, Justin, Fofana, Vardy, Pereira, and Soyuncu.
