After a string of defeats The Red-Blues put up a string of three draws - with Elche (1:1), Levante (0:0) and Barcelona (2:2). Basques got off to a confident start in the domestic cup, in the first match team beat San Agustin (4:0) and then visitors beat Deportivo in a close match (2:1). 

Areso, Ibanez, Juan Perez, Hernandez and Garcia won't feature in this match.
