Van Uytvanck vs Tsurenko: prediction for the WTA Linz match

Alison Van Uytvanck won the Nur-Sultan tournament in October, beating Yulia Putintseva in the final (1:6, 6:4, 6:3). After that success Belgian player had a long slump. At Tenerife and Cluj-Napoca tournaments she won only one match.

In the first round of Linz tournament Van Uytvanck played against an obscure player, Kraus. Belgian player put up a great performance and won the match (6:1, 6:0). Now she will have a tough challenge - a match against Tsurenko, she lost two head-to-head matches to her. 

In autumn tournaments Lesia Tsurenko is looking great, just like at times, where she was a World No. 23 player. Towards the end of the season Ukrainian player fixed her health issues, gained form, so she is extremely motivated to improve her rankings. Tsurenko is currently only at the 132nd position in the World rankings.

Tsurenko already played three matches at Linz. In the qualification she recorded a victory over Minella (6:2, 6:1), then she beat Cristian in three sets (5:7, 6:4, 6:1). 

In the first round of the main draw Tsurenko made a huge sensation. Odds on her victory in the match against Alexandrova were at 3.00, but eventually Ukrainian player recorded a narrow victory (6:4, 7:6).
