Minnen vs Dodin: prediction for the WTA Linz match

Greet Minnenis holding on to her position in the Top-100 of WTA rankings and now she needs to defend points, which she got for the second round of the previous Linz tournament. She has a good chance to do it.

Out of four most recent tournaments Belgian player lost the opening match only once. It happened at Nur-Sultan tournament, in which she was defeated by Juvan (6:2, 6:7, 6:4). During the autumn Minnen enjoyed a successful US Open tournament, in which she surprisingly reached the third round. 

Oceane Dodin has a more difficult objective here, at Linz. She needs to defend points for the quarter-final of the previous tournament. French player performed at Nantes last week. She managed to reach the final at home tournament, but couldn't finish the title match against Kalinina due to injury (6:7, 0:1).

Dodin probably chose to save the energy for a more prestigious Linz tournament. But she played the most recent matches at Nantes on Sunday and she will start the Lenz tournament on Monday evening, so she won't have much time to recover anyway.
