AC Milan look very powerful in Serie A this season. Stefano Pioli's men have justified their status as one of the favourites to win the Scudetto: they confidently occupy 2nd place in the table with 31 points in the asset, which is the same as the first Napoli, who have a better goal difference. After the first 11 rounds, the Rossoneri have an impressive handicap of 7 points against the closest pursuer, Inter. In the last round, AC Milan beat Roma (2:1), thus recording their seventh victory in a row.

But the Rossoneri have absolutely failed in the Champions League, where they sit bottom of Group B after the first four games. A 1:1 draw with Porto earlier this week practically ended their European campaign, and, barring some miracle, AC Milan won't get into the playoffs.

Inter Milanmade several mistakes at the start of the season, hence - 24 points and only 3rd line in the standings. The biggest failure was the game against Lazio, when Simone Inzaghi's team opened the scoring, but then conceded three goals and eventually lost (1:3). This was the only defeat of the Nerazzurri, but it put them in the position, where they are far behind the leaders of Serie A, and it will be very hard to defend the champions title. 

In the middle of the week, Inter got a very important 3:1 victory over Sheriff Tiraspol in the Champions League. Thanks to this success, the Nerazzurri climbed up to the 2nd line in the group table.
