Paula Badosa vs Victoria Azarenka. Predictions and Betting Tips for WTA Indian Wells

Paula Badosa is participating at Indian Wells tournament only for the second time in her career. In 2019 Spanish player failed to advance through qualification, in 2021 she will play in the final. As we see, World No. 27 player significantly improved in those two years. 

Only in the first match against Dayana Yastremska Spaniard lost one set (6:4, 2:6, 6:2). All next four matches Spanish player won with a 2:0 score on sets. She played against some dangerous opponents: Gauff, Krejcikova, Kerber and Jabeur. All of them are having a great season and each one of those players had a chance for a victory. But Badosa played with confidence and her consistency helped her to beat the opponents.

In the semi-final match against Jabeur Spanish player was considered an underdog. Moreover, Badosa mentioned her shoulder injury before the match. But she still recorded a confident victory (6:3, 6:3). We should note that her opponent had 10 break-points during the match, but converted only one.

Victoria Azarenka has a rich experience of playing at Indian Wells. Belarusian player won two titles of this competition. It happened in 2012 and in 2016. 

Azarenka got off to a slow start of the tournament. She was losing during the match against Linette, but her opponent withdrew herself from the match due to a leg injury. Next three victories over Kvitova, Sasnovich and Pegula were recorded in straight sets.

Azarenka had a difficult match in the semi-final against Jelena Ostapenko. In our prediction for that match we stated that experience will help Belarusian player in that match. And indeed, Azarenka recorded a victory eventually (3:6, 6:3, 7:5). In the second set Belarusian player managed to improve her performance and her opponent started to make many mistakes. Third set was a contested one, but Azarenka was more fortunate.
