Strasbourg vs Metz: prediction for the Ligue 1 match

In the previous season Strasbourg put up a weak performance and almost relegated to Ligue 2. Team recorded only 11 victories and picked up 42 points.

Eventually board changed the head coach, now team is managed by Julien Stephan. Club also signed a number of new players: Aholou from Monaco, Lucas Perrin from Marseille and defender Karol Fila from Lechia.

Mothiba, Sahi and Sissoko, who has a knee injury, won't play in an upcoming match.

Metz recently returned to Ligue 1 and in a couple of seasons they earned everyone's respect. 

In the previous season Messins were a solid mid-table team and they managed to keep the core of their squad. Club also loaned a couple of players, Pape Sarr from Tottenham and Sikou Niakate from Guingamp.

Team started the season without any victories. Frederic Antonetti's men suffered three defeats in five matches and had two draws against Lille (3:3) and Reims (1:1). In the most recent match The Maroons were beaten by Troyes (0:2), those results brought them three points and a 17th spot in the standings.

Boulaya, Cabit and Nguette, who has a muscle injury, are unavailable for an upcoming match.
