Sharma vs Tauson: prediction for the WTA Luxembourg match

Astra Sharma put up a great performance in spring. Australian player reached the quarter-final of Guadalajara tournament. After that she won a title at Charleston. Sharma failed to extend that success though, now she is out of Top-100 in WTA rankings, she is currently at 114th position. 

After US Open Sharma participated at Karlsruhe tournament on clay surface. She was eliminated in the second round by Schunk (2:6, 4:6). 

A talented Danish player Clara Tauson is currently at 78th spot in the WTA rankings, despite she is only 18 years old. She won two WTA titles in 2021. One of them she won at indoor tournament in Lyon. Tauson's aggressive style of play is a perfect fit for fast surfaces. Since the start of the year she won 16 matches on indoor courts and suffered only three defeats. 

Just before the start of US Open Tauson won a title of Chicago tournament in August. Young Danish player could've perform successfully at US Open, but unfortunately, in the second round she was drawn to play against Ashleigh Barty (1:6, 5:7).
