Leipzig started the new season with a completely different squad - during the summer Julian Nagelsmann, under his management Bulls improved a lot in recent years. Bayern already won the first trophy of the season - they managed to beat Borussia Dortmund (3:1) in the German Super Cup. Champions of Germany also recorded a victory in the third round of Bundesliga - Bayern trashed Hertha (5:0) and climbed up to the third position in the standings.
