Krejcikova vs Rakhimova: another surprise from Kamilla?

Barbora Krejcikova kept her form after a triumph at Roland Garros. Moreover, Czech player is now a comfortable Top-10 player, she gained self-confidence and doesn't want to stop on that. We should remind that Krejcikova is currently the World No. 9 player and in case of a successful result at New York she can improve her position. In the previous season she missed the US Open, so she doesn't need to defend any points here.

In two first matches Krejcikova recorded confident victories over Sharma (6:0, 6:4) and McHale (6:3, 6:1). In each of those matches she recorded a victory with a handicap of (-6) games. 

Kamilla Rakhimova is having the best season in her career. Russian player managed to reach the third round, starting from qualification. By the way, she got into the main draw as lucky loser, because she lost the final qualifying match to Kristyna Pliskova (6:7, 4:6). 

In two most recent matches at New York Rakhimova recorded victories over Mladenovic (2:6, 6:2, 6:3) and Alexandrova (6:4, 6:1). In each of those matches Russian player was considered an underdog.
