Karolina Pliskova vs Anisimova: a comfortable opponent for Karolina

Karolina Pliskova performs successfully in North American hard tournaments. Czech player managed to reach the final in Montreal, where she was beaten by Giorgi (3:6, 5:7). She also reached the semi-final at Cincinnati. 

Without a doubt, Pliskova approached the New York tournament in a great form. In the first round Pliskova recorded a victory over McNally due to a confident performance on her serve (6:3, 6:4).

Amanda Anisimova can't find her game since the start of the season, her results are terrible so far. Her biggest achievements are the quarter-final of low prestigious Bad Homburg tournament and the round of 16 at Montreal tournament. 

In the first match of New York tournament Anisimova played against Zarina Diyas. She managed to record a 7:5, 6:2 victory due to a terrible performance of her opponent. But match against Pliskova will be way more difficult. Anisimova lost all three head-to-head matches against the Czech player, she never won a single set.
