Azarenka vs Paolini: a confident victory for the favourite?

Victoria Azarenka is extremely motivated for New York tournament. In the previous year Belarusian player reached the final at US Open, so now she needs to defend a big number of points. 

Azarenka got a comfortable draw at the start of the tournament. In the first round she recorded an easy victory over Tereza Martincova (6:4, 6:0). Azarenka was unstoppable in the second set. Though, she needed some time to find her game, she lost three consecutive games at the start of the match. 

Jasmine Paolini is currently at 99th position of WTA rankings. Italian player is not so successful on hard surface. In the previous year she won only one match on that surface and suffered eight defeats. Her results improved in this season: she won nine matches and suffered the same number of defeats. 

In the first round Paolini got an easy opponent. Jaroslava Shvedova is in a long decline now. Jasmine Paolini recorded a confident victory, as it was expected (6:3, 6:4).
