Donna Vekic vs Garbine Muguruza. Predictions and Betting Tips for US Open

In 2021 Donna Vekic got back on tour after the injury, her performances are inconsistent so far. Croatian player achieved her best result at the Australian Open, where she reached the round of 16. In the beginning of the year a future finalist of Melbourne tournament Jennifer Brady managed to stop Donna (6:1, 7:5).

In two most recent tournaments Vekic failed to achieve success. At Montreal she was beaten by Karolina Pliskova in the second round (6:4, 3:6, 6:7). At Cincinnati tournament she failed to beat Paolini in qualification (6:7, 2:6). We should note that even in unsuccessful matches Vekic is fighting until the end and rarely loses with a low score.

Garbine Muguruza played better in the first half of the season, back then she won a title at Dubai. In the recent tournaments Spanish player is not so convincing. 

At the Olympic Games in Tokyo Garbine was beaten in the quarter-final by Elena Rybakina (5:7, 1:6). At the tournament in Montreal and Cincinnati Muguruza won only one match. Spaniard was eliminated from those tournaments by Siniakova (2:6, 6:0, 3:6) and Krejcikova (1:6, 7:6, 2:6). World No. 10 player is too inconsistent now, so we can't expect a big result from her at the Grand Slam tournament.
