Giron vs Alcaraz: who will get to the semifinals?

Giron has made significant progress over the past year. He demonstrates solid tennis at the Winston-Salem Open and consistently wins the matches in which he is considered the favourite. On his way to the quarterfinals, the American tennis player defeated Facundo Bagnis (7-5, 6-4), Federico Delbonis (6-3, 6-4) and Pierre-Hugues Herbert (4-6, 6-3, 6-3). 

Alcaraz is a clay-court specialist, but he can deliver quality tennis on hard, too. This year Alcaraz won ten matches on hard courts against five defeats. In Winston-Salem, the Spanish tennis player started with a hard-earned victory over Alexei Popyrin (6-7, 6-1, 7-6). He also outplayed Marton Fucsovics in three sets (6-3, 0-6, 6-2).
