Ashleigh Barty vs Angelique Kerber. Predictions and Betting Tips for WTA Cincinnati

Ashleigh Barty failed to live up to expectations at the Olympic Games in Tokyo. In the first round Australian player was sensationally beaten by Sorribes Tormo (3:6, 4:6). After a short break World No. 1 player started the new winning streak.

Only in the first round of Cincinnati tournament Barty had problems, probably due to adaptation and the lack of match practice. Nonetheless, she managed to beat Watson in straight sets (6:4, 7:6). Then she recorded an easy victory over Victoria Azarenka (6:0, 6:2) and then over Barbora Krejcikova (6:2, 6:4).

Now she will play against an experienced Kerber, who was one of the few players, who managed to put up a fight against the World No. 1 player at the Wimbledon, though she was beaten anyway (3:6, 6:7). Barty played against Kerber six times and so far each player has three victories.

Angelique Kerber retained her great form after the Wimbledon and is still satisfying her fans at the Cincinnati. 

Angelique had a difficult draw on her way to the semi-final. She needed to prove her mental toughness in every single match. After a confident win in the first round over Sakkari (6:2, 6:2) she had difficult matches against Svitolina (7:5, 2:6, 6:4) and Jelena Ostapenko (4:6, 6:2, 7:5) in three sets.

Quarter-final match against Petra Kvitova started with a difficult first set as well. But during the second set Czech player withdrew herself from the match due to injury and Kerber advanced into the semi-final.
