Leylah Fernandez vs Dayana Yastremska. Predictions and Betting Tips for the Summer Olympics

18-year old Canada representative Leylah Fernandez will make her Olympics debut. She approached that important event with very weak results on the recent tournaments. 

We still can remember that Leylah won a Monterrey title in March, but after that Canadian player failed to go past the second round on any tournament. Fernandez played her most recent match on Wimbledon, where she was beaten in the first round by Jelena Ostapenko (1:6, 2:6).

Dayana Yastremska had no match practice from November 2020 to July 2021. The reason is a doping scandal, which was resolved without any penalty for the Ukrainian player. She served no period of ineligibility, which is a very rare occasion in the modern sport.

In the beginning of July Dayana participated on a clay tournament in Hamburg. In the first competition after a long pause Yastremska recorded two victories - over Frech and Errani. Reaching of the semi-final in that tournament is a huge achievement for Yastremska, but she lacked consistency.
