Blinkova vs Schmiedlova: who will start with a win?

Throughout the entire season Anna Blinkova is trying to find her game. Since the beginning of the year Russian player has only one achievement - she reached the semi-final of a tournament in Bol, Croatia, where she got an easy draw.

On a previous week Anna participated on a tournament at Lausanne. She barely avoided defeat in the first round match against Olga Govortsova (2:6, 6:4, 6:2), but in the second round Anna was crushed by Bronzetti (1:6, 2:6).

Anna Karolina Schmiedlova is also not so successful in the current season. The best achievements of the Slovakian player during the current campaign are quarter-finals of tournaments in Guadalajara and in Monterrey. 

After the Wimbledon Schmiedlova played two clay tournaments in Bastad and in Budapest. In both of them Slovakian player successfully went past the first round, but failed to advance any further. In Bastad she lost to Buzarnescu and in Budapest she was stopped by Galfi. But Anna recorded an unexpected victories over Burel (0:6, 7:5, 6:2) and Begu (6:3, 6:4).
