Bonaventure vs Krejcikova: a confident victory for Barbora?

2021 season is going bad for the Belgian player Ysaline Bonaventure. Since the beginning of the year she recorded only seven victories in 20 matches. Her only achievement is the quarter-final of Hamburg tournament, where she beat Sharma and Pera along the way.

In Prague Bonaventure started with a match against a weak opponent, Bains. A comfortable 6:3, 6:2 victory was not a surprise. Now she will play against more powerful opponent, Barbora Krejcikova, Belgian player has already played against her in 2016 and was defeated in three sets (6:1, 1:6, 2:6).

After a huge success on clay with titles of Roland Garros and Strasbourg tournament Barbora Krejcikova is not even thinking about slowing down. A Prague tournament is a great opportunity to prove her worth in front of home fans.

In the first match Krejcikova played against Shinikova. She managed to defeat her opponent pretty easily (6:2, 6:3). It was obvious during the match that Barbora is not playing in her full strength.
