Vondrousova vs Kontaveit: is Czech player underrated?

Marketa Vondrousova achieved her best results on the Grand Slam tournaments this season. She reached the round of 16 in Australian Open and Roland Garros. But it will be hard for Marketa to repeat that result on Wimbledon. Throughout her entire career, she never went past the first round at London. Overall, she won four matches on the grass out of ten played.

But Vondrousova prepared for the Wimbledon. She participated in Berlin and in Eastbourne tournaments. She couldn't win a single match in there, but she put up a fight in both matches - she was eventually defeated by Samsonova (4:6, 6:7) and Jabeur (3:6, 6:7).

Anett Kontaveit is achieving the same result in London for the last three years. In all of those London tournaments she reached the third round, but failed to advance any further.

Anett played only one grass tournament this season. Estonian player reached the final of Eastborne tournament, but lost in the title match to Ostapenko (3:6, 3:6).
