Russia vs Denmark: a decisive match

In the first match of the European championship Russia was playing against the favourite of the group, Belgium. In the first minutes of that match Belgians took advantage of a mistake on Russia's defense and towards the end of the first half they doubled the lead. In that situation Russia had no energy for the comeback, plus the head coach made the wrong substitutions.
Second match against Finland was more successful. A 1:0 win over Denmark made everyone to respect the Finns, so Russia got prepared for this fixture. We can't say that it was an ideal match for Cherchesov's side, but they fulfilled the task and claimed a 1:0 victory, so the Russians still have a chance for the playoffs.

Casper Hjulmand's team failed to win the group in the Nations League, but they managed to finish ahead of England, which is a huge achievement. Three clean sheet victories with a total score of 14:0 in the World Cup qualification confirmed that Denmark should be considered the dark horse of the Euro.
In the first match of the Euro 2020 Denmark was playing against Finland and had a number of chances during the first half, but the situation with Cristian Eriksen, who got a heart attack during the game, left the team completely devastated. Finland took an advantage of that and claimed a 1:0 victory, which decreased the Reds' chances for the playoffs.
In the second match Danes completely outplayed Belgium in the first half, not only by a score, but by an overall performance. But in the second half Belgians subbed on their best players and turned the game around, scoring two goals. Eventually Denmar lost the game with a 1:2 score, so they don't have many chances for the playoffs, even in case of a win over Russia.
