Vegas were almost knocked out of the playoffs in the first round when the Golden Knights gave Minnesota the opportunity to level the score in the series. But in the last game, the Knights pulled themselves together and defeated their opponent (6:2). Striker Janmark deserves praise for his hat-trick in that game.

In the quarterfinals, the Knights did not start with the best performance, losing two games to Colorado. But then the team mounted a streak of four victories in a row. It is worth noting the excellent defensive play, the Knights conceded only eight goals in that series. Now Vegas will try to get into the final.

After a terrible start in the Stanley Cup, Montreal came round and were able to get on a streak of seven victories, which is very difficult to achieve in the playoffs. The Canadiens were losing 1:3 in the series against Toronto, but they did not give up, and that paid off: they got through to the quarterfinals.

In the second round of the playoffs, the Canadiens easily defeated Winnipeg in four straight games. The Canadians had some problems only in the last game, but they still managed to win in overtime (3:2).
