Command Analysis

Barbora Krejcikova

Before the start of Roland Garros Barbora Krejcikova won a title at Strasbourg. Czech player is on an unbeaten run since then. Her winning streak is currently on 11 matches.
On her way to the Roland Garros final Krejcikova gave only two sets to her opponents. It happened on the first match against Kristina Pliskova (5:7, 6:4, 6:2) and in the semi-final against Maria Sakkari (7:5, 4:6, 9:7). In the match against Greek player Barbora managed to get away from match-point in that match and eventually took the victory.
Between those difficult matches Barbora also beat Alexandrova, Svitolina, Stephens and Gauff with a 2:0 margin on sets.

Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova

It was six years since the Russian player was in the final of a Grand Slam tournament. Back then it was Maria Sharapova, who reached the final at Australian Open in 2015. Hardly anyone could guess that Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova will the reach the final of 2021 Roland Garros, but she did it and now she has a chance for the first Grand Slam title in her career.
Ranked 32 in WTA rankings, Nastya started with victories over McHale (6:4, 6:0) and Tomljanovic (6:2, 6:3) on first two matches. After that Anastasia beat two Belarusian players, Aryna Sabalenka (6:4, 2:6, 6:0) and Victoria Azarenka (5:7, 6:3, 6:2). In a long quarter-final match Pavlyuchenkova eventually recorded a victory over Rybakina (6:7, 6:2, 9:7).
Russian player also beat the Slovenia representative Tamara Zidansek in the semi-final. Throughout the entire match Anastasia was dominating, she was more confident than her opponent and recorded a 7:5, 6:3 victory, which we gave our prediction on.

Both players are currently on the most successful tournament of their respective careers and both have deserved a title. Bookmakers are considering Krejcikova as a slight favourite. But Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova beat some strong opponents on her way to the final: Sabalenka, Azarenka, Rybakina. She also got an impressive victory over Zidansek in the semi-final, she didn't waste many energy in there in comparision with her opponent.
